Police Investigates Shooting Incident At Teniola’s Rivers Concert

Teniola Apata, commonly known as Teni, a prominent Nigerian artist, was forced to evacuate an event in Buguma Town, Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State, over the weekend due to a gunfire fear. 

Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police command’s acting spokesperson, confirmed the event but said Teni was retrieved unharmed by security officers.

“She was invited for a carnival where she was performing, some miscreants started throwing stones and all that.

“But the police and other security agencies were on ground to ensure nothing happened. The command has started investigation into the incident to ascertain what really happened.

“The police division there in Buguma has been mandated to fish out those behind the attack. We will ensure they are brought to book,” she stated.

According to reports, the A-list female singer, best known for her famous song “Your Case,” was playing another big song, “Super Power,” when gunshots rang out. As shown in a viral video, the deafening gunfire sent everyone fleeing for safety.
